ADVOCATING FOR AND PROTECTING DINÉ LIFEWAYS ON BLACK MESA
Tó Nizhóní Ání “Sacred Water Speaks” is a Diné-led nonprofit organization. Our mission is to preserve and protect the environment, land, water, and sky for the people of Black Mesa. Our work is rooted in the protection of our water. We ended the industrial use of Black Mesa's only source of potable water from Peabody Coal Company that has exploited Diné people and land for decades. We will always fight for the protection of our aquifers, rivers, and springs for future generations to come. Tó bee iiná. Water is life.
