STAFF MEMBERS

Nicole Horseherder

Executive Director
Nicole Horseherder, Diné, is from the Black Mesa region of the Navajo Nation. Nicole is one of the original founding members of Tó Nizhóní Ání and has been an active member since its establishment. Outside of Tó Nizhóní Ání, Nicole is busy with her family as they tend to their livestock with the changing seasons.

Jessica Keetso

Organizer
Jessica Keetso, Diné, is from the Black Mesa region on the Navajo Nation. Jessica joined the Tó Nizhóní Ání team in 2018, and before that, Jessica was a volunteer to help coordinate such events as our 2017 Just Transition Relay. In 2017, Jessica graduated from Northern Arizona University with her Bachelors of Science in Environmental Science. She has also held other positions before joining our TNA team, such as the Navajo Nation President’s office. Given her academic background and work experience with the Navajo Nation, Jessica has been able to do some amazing work. Outside of TNA, Jessica enjoys helping her family, exploring the outdoors, and tending to her garden and chickens in Hardrock.

Adrian Herder

Media Coordinator
Adrian Herder, Chíshí Diné, is from the Black Mesa region of the Navajo Nation but resides in Flagstaff, AZ. Adrian joined the Tó Nizhóní Ání team in 2020, and before that, he volunteered his time with the organization. Adrian designed many of our campaign flyers and logos over the years and is also credited for designing our official TNA logo. Adrian graduated from Northern Arizona University in 2017 and has worked in several positions before joining our TNA team. Outside of TNA, Adrian is busy with his traditional Dine’ pottery artwork.

Percy Deal

Community Liaison
Percy Deal, Diné, is from the community of Hardrock located on Black Mesa on the Navajo Nation. Percy has long been an active member of Tó Nizhóní Ání and was also one of the original founding members of the organization. Percy has been deeply involved in the local community government, serving as the chapter house president of Hardrock and serving as a council delegate for the Dzil Yijiin region. Percy graduated from Northern Arizona University with his Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering. Hoping to utilize his degree in his own community, Percy was cast into the community leadership role as this was this time of the Navajo-Hopi relocation. He saw the need for advocacy after seeing the devastating impacts the extractive industry had on his community on Black Mesa.

Jennifer Beaudette

Administrative Assistant
Jennifer, Diné, is from the community of Whippoorwill Springs which is located 10 miles east of Piñon, Arizona on Black Mesa. She currently resides in Flagstaff, Arizona where she supports the daily operations of Tó Nizhóní Ání at our Flagstaff office. Outside of Tó Nizhóní Ání, Jennifer enjoys nature walks, road trips, side by side riding on weekends with friends, and loves spending time with her grandson.
